S.W.O.R.D. (Sentient World Observation and Response Department) is a fictional counterterrorism and intelligence agency appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.

Its purpose is to deal with extraterrestrial threats to world security and is the space-based counterpart of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Maybe it is the same but maybe Oda will try his own thing. I don't see him taking someone else concept.

Drake is a possibility, Coby become one after he was baptized at Marineford, Aokiji is the vice leader after Punk hazard and is doing his special ops with BB. And maybe Lucci who infiltrated CP 0 itself.

What does Sword mean?

Fans 1: gives mindblown theory #1
Fans 2: gives mindblown theory #2
Fans 3: Oda is Goda there's 100% secret and deep meaning to it
Fans 4: According to this colorspread, Sword is... blabla. Goda and his foreshadowing!!

Oda: Well Sword is just the fucking sword. Symbolizing the most common weapon that Navy fodders use.

No I think aokiji legitimately went rogue

Even the gorosei were worried about his relationship with BB

Point is that gorosei aka WG have their secret seevice which are the CP while navy now has his own which is this sword, and as we saw in the dialogue between Coby and Drake they don't seem to like CPs and most likely even the opposite is true.

Aokiji could be, yet this speculation is interesting too and for sure has some ground.
