And why hasn't Sanji asked about them?

Sanji's relation with his family (outside of Sora and Reiju) isn't a very warm one so it's not surprising he didn't ask Jinbei about them.

As for them I expect them to have escaped, though whenever they kept all or only a portion of their kingdom and tech is unknown.

Reiju might funnily be the reason why they are all still alive.

It would have been so tasteless from Oda to kill off such a goddess.
