I just had a realization (or ephifany, whatever.)

You guys know or remember how vegapunk (stella) explained about devif fruits or moreso theorized that they are borned out of the hopes & desires of humanity? what if that's literally it? I mean, think about it for a second, that would explain why paramecia, logias and zoans (Specially Mythical Zoans like Sengoku's) came to be.

Would explain the worshipping of the gods, how nika came to be. Because peoples collective desire's and dreams of wanting to be freed and see the sun made the fruit into reality.

What if that really IS the simple answer? that the people of OP make their "GODS" real but not at the same time?

(had no idea what prefix would be so I choosed Speculations.)

Nika came to life through Joyboy's dream.
Ashura will come to life theough Zoro's dream.
Usopp may be able to manifest the spirit of the warrior or something like that. (Likely)
Sanji may manifest the spirit of love or something (less likely but the possibility is there) ect..

Why would the DFs have those limitations tho? They are weak against the sea and can only exist once at a time.
If for example millions of people hope for a better world out of despair and manifest a certain ancient god, it should create tons of very similar DFs and not just one fruit with one specific model of it. And that process shouldn't stop. People should still be able to create fruits I guess. And where would the sea weakness come from, that's the same for every fruit?

I think they are created in the image of the hopes and dreams of people, but imo there has to be a certain mechanism or system that specifically creates them the way they are, otherwise everything about devil fruits would be much more randomized I think.

I think it might rather have to do with the technology of the ancient kingdom. Their greatest invention likely was something that can use/access the energy of souls and imagination. Also explains the issue with the ancient robot.

It is that simple. People still havent grasped that Vegapunk told us everything about Devil Fruits except for how they get show up again once previous user dies. Through desire, people will abilities into existence. That is the evolution of humanity Vegapunk spoke about.

Honestly something I agree with you, but why do people keep saying "Muh gOdffY" or "Muh chOseN oNe"?

To me, It feels like "history WILL repeat Itself If the world chooses to abandon/not reflect on their own actions" (as seen throughout flashback and such), joyboy's return is more so a form of karmatic punishment upon the WG for their shady actions of just trying to erase the past. Specially to what happened to Ohara.
