Speculations What is Gaban's role going to be ?

I think most will agree that Luffy’s Haki is still not up to par with Shanks and this is a Shanks that will most likely lose to Teach. How many more fights does Luffy have till he fights Teach? & would simply just fighting strong enemies progressively be enough to make up for that gap? Garp for instance used to tango with the Pirate King & WB and even his Haki doesn’t seem to be as gassed up as Shanks is. So likelihood is that combat alone will not get Luffy to Shanks’ Haki level. Plus we’ve seen Shanks use some wifi type haki from outside an island to pinpoint & antagonize Greenbull so there still seems to be be more applications of it.

Regardless of whether Gaban turns out to the one that teaches him, I personally don’t think Luffy’s Haki training is over just yet

Why would others need PUs when they never came even close to showing off what they are capable of?
Nami, Usopp, Chopper, Brook never had a full fight.
Franky did but both times his skillset focused on a single thing instead of everything(boxing alone &Shogun alone).
Their ceilings are unknown. Same for Jinbe and even Robin, Demonio never came close to being contested.

Monster Trio got massive gains in Wano, granted Sanji's does not look too impressive now that's why another user of the power of Love appeared and might give some hints to Sanji on how to further incorporate it but who says Sanjino doesnt know fully well how to use that ability already? He wasnt dumbfounded that he dispersed Kizaru's laser wondering how he did that, he knew fully well what he did.

Zoro and Luffy have aCoC, the power that allows them to fight anyone in the world, they do not need further PUs.
It would only devalue aCoC and Awakening.
People forget how many fights the monster trio went through without pulling PUs...

Problem is Oda wouldn't focus on the others training. He'll just show Luffy getting stronger again while the others watch or their training gets offscreened.
So might as well skip the training arc and just assume they got a power up in-between arcs.

This is also ignoring the fact that the only we seen getting taught haki on screen, Luffy, is too dumb to learn it anyway per training
He gets trained, always doesnt get it fully and than has a haki bloom in a combat anways

Reyleigh was the first to openly use conquerers haki and introduce it to Luffy.

Maybe Gaban will be the first to reveal a new power that will hurt the God Knights and Gorosei due to his past encounters with them in God Valley/elsewhere.

G5 Luffy, Kuma and the Giants attacks had 0 effect on the Gorosei in Egghead and it reminds me of the SH’s first encounter with Aokiji and Kizaru.
