Kuzan being a Revo or double agent for WG is the lamest and most boring choice Oda can go for.

I don't really want him to be Revolutionary Army member, I can just see him choosing to assist them. I believe his true goal involves discovering the true history, and the RA may be tied to that.

Anyway, I wonder if we're supposed to think that Kuzan spent an entire year being a drunken wreck before joining the Blackbeards. Like, did he do anything notable in the time between resigning and joining the Blackbeards

Fujitora as well, yes.

Difference being Fujitora now represents Good from the inside of the organization while Kuzan is out, he is "free" to pursue his own goals as Blackbeard says. But what those goals are, is still a mystery.

this is an interesting analysis. It makes me think:
- Issho: a good guy within the Navy.
- Kuzan: a good guy out of the Navy
- Akainu: a fucking asshole leading the Navy
- Aramaki: a Akainu's bitch and also asshole.

But what about Borsalino? Where is he um this history?

Koby will be like.... 20 EOS. 20 Year old Koby isn't going to become the Fleet Admiral. Maybe 40-50 year old Prime Koby will become Fleet Admiral in an epilogue.

I think it would be really interesting to see an ex-admiral become a pirate for good.

That would add depth to Kuzan's character. A discredited Navy sailor succumbing to pirates.

That would be the best outcome for sure.

WIthout Kuzan I wouldn't be able to imagine Blackbeard Pirates posing a threat to Shanks crew which is the strongest one atm and basically, they are Haki masters so they hard counter BBP.

Adding a Top Tier to BBP drastically changes the outcome of this battle.

Absolutely. That's why I get so perplexed when people talk about Zoro/Sanji/Yamato/Law/whoever taking him down as if he'll be just another arc opponent like the other BBPS.

I feel like Pre Time Skip, Oda had the intention of making him the EOS Fleet Admiral, but now I feel like Oda's going to make Issho the EOS Fleet Admiral, and Kuzan's story will have a more tragic ending.

Kuzan is the only non-evil character who I’m certain will not have a happy ending, and I’ve been feeling that way for years lol

Kuzan has always been one of Oda’s best characters alongside Sakazuki and Issho.

I don’t think he’s a double agent with the Navy but he definitely has his own agenda he is aiming for, as to what that is, we don’t know since Oda has so far not elaborated on Luffy’s/Teach’s/anybody’s end goals.

Hopefully Oda delivers with him in the end.

I think EOS, he and Aramaki will be the only admirals who don't show some kind of opposition to the World Government. Sakazuki's already voiced his displeasure with the Gorosei after Dressrosa. I don't think they'll be a marine coup arc, but I think Sakazuki's relationship with them will get even worse.

Issho will try to change the World Government from the inside, and Kuzan will try to change it from the outside.

A double agent is so fucking boring and abused troupe. Seeing Kuzan being a pirate for real is far more interesting, although as I mentioned above.

WG is not making too much of a fuss about it. Which you think they should.

WG actually wouldn't spread news about fact that part of main Navy's power betrayed them and join someone with D. In name.

Bro, imagine if Akainu got tired of the Gorosei and killed them one by one and commanded the WG/Navy being the supreme leader and declared war against the pirates ???

I think this would be the best outcome for Sakazuki and the start of a reinvention of the Navy with Akainu being defeated and Issho or maybe Aokiji taking the lead.

This is a hot take, but I actually don't think Kuzan will be involved in the battle.

the Straw Hats have 10 crew members, excluding Kuzan the BBPs have 10 crew members, and the Red Hair Pirates have 10 main crew members(if you count Rockstar), I think it's too perfect to be a coincidence. Each of the Blackbeards will beat one Red Hair, and then lose to the Straw Hats.

I think the Red Hair Pirates were designed as hard counters and hyped up so much just to make them seem like an unwinnable matchup to the Blackbeards, but the Blackbeards will surprise us and win. They're like the Straw Hats imo, they'll get punked and kicked, but in the end of the day, they'll clutch a W.
