We have to get real, it's quite difficult if not impossible for it to be Luffy fruit, they said that the fruit name has been changed, but what kind of thing if not gum has lightning resistance, physical damage immunity and ability to stretch? This is not a thing that you shrug through with things like "gigantifications", or similars, they said that the name itself has been changed, so the fruit has a different nature from what is seen. Things like gigantification (that is lame by the way) or other forms can be possible by awakening or use of the gears but here we talk of a complete change of nature

Imo we are not aware of its potential expecially gears wise but it would look odd if Oda was so straightforward in portraying it as the legendary DF 🧐

Have we gotten any info aboug the translation accuracy of the elder’s statement ‘it hasn’t awakened for centuries’? Did he mean ‘awakened’ as in ‘DF awakening’ or ‘awakened’ as in ‘this power started being used’?

This is imp ; does awakening means DF awakening or only that it has awakened as in resurfaced now ; imo it is the later in it has recently surfaced

I finally figured it out!
The DF they are talking about refers to Island of "Emerald City"
Just like Zou, it's a City built on another Ancient Creature (Which apparently ate a DF)
It's a Mythical Place, even WG didn't know much about, it still exists in New World
It will be Important for Next Arc & Next Villain (Lurking Legend)
