What makes a life good?

What's a good life in your opinion?





For me I'll talk as a man, what I see as the ideal life is

Christian saved and eternally secure

Holding the Bible's philosophy as a way of life

Good job and a focus on a career if it's in a field where knowledge gets you further, having fun mastering that

Good physical strength

Good relationships and community

And some fun stuff like some video games, music, hiking reading etc





I wanted to discuss this and see what others thought

what makes life good and what is a good life to me are two different questions so i'll answer them both to the best of my ability

what makes life good is your mindset, what you believe is a good life it doesn't matter how your life is weather you're rich or poor, healthy or sick, alone or surrounded by lots of friends and family both sides can be a good fulfilling life or a miserable life depending on how you personally view it so the answer to the first question of what makes life good is your own personal mindset and feelings towards the life you live.

Yeah but that is kind of abstract

You can have no worries or stress as an extreme alcoholic for example

Your personal views can also be distorted by stuff like that



I think there is a personal element to "what is a good life", but I think it's partly objective and partly subjective

Something like, there's an objective base, and then what gets built on top of that base, goes on in all kinds of different directions from that universal base, with personal variety and subjective wants and views

you could indeed but that's where self-control and personal morals come in i'd never be an extreme alcoholic because i absolutely hate the taste of Alcohol and I would never want to become the type of person extreme alcholism does to people

I said it was my opinion of an ideal life, not religious but christian and saved

Money - it won't make your life good but it can get your everything which can make your life good

Financials are important but imo just financials alone don't make for a good life, plus it depends on how you get to a good financial position too, I heard a guy talk about other people he knows who got rich through crypto, and he described them as "feathers in the wind"

I'm talking about what makes a good life, said my opinion and asked for others' , and religion was two elements of multiple ones I mentioned, but it's the foundational one in my opinion so of course I'd mention it and place it first

I've been thinking about what a good life is a lot and I watched and read a lot about it, this is what I came up with as the ideal life in my opinion

So I thought to ask others too
