When nekomamushi asked marco to join force in wano, marco initially refused to join because he want to take care of that island (forgot the name) from weevil's havoc. But later on, on chapter 981, marco showed up in wano along with nekomamushi and izo. So why did finally he change his mind?
And How about his business with weevil? There's no way he leaves that island without protection if he hadnt dealt busniess with weevil

Marco heard about the alliance between the BM Pirates and the Beast Pirates and he thought he has to be there and stop that from happening. That's way more important for him and the world.

Weevil might've been captured and that assured Marco to assume that sphinx island is safe from weevil, or in another scenario marco didn't want bmp and bp to make an alliance

Maybe he got info from Newspaper that Weevil is in somewhere far away from Sphinx , running from Marines .

i doubt Weevil was captured though , he is a new character .

He wanted to help but couldn't due to the weevil situation so whatever changed his mind has to do with weevil.

Maybe weevil is also heading for wano since Mrs bakkins wanted to go after luffy because she thought he might know Marco's location. And everybody knows where luffy is.

But I doubt something bad happened to weevil, he's just been introduced and it wouldn't make sense for him to be out of the picture without doing anything relevant. He might be Marco's fight in wano. Or he might join Marco after he hears from him (whatever story that can change his mind).

Two possible factors : either the news of Big Mom and Kaido's alliance caused him to change his mind.
Or he thinks that Weevil's threat has someone been neutralized by the marines hunt for the ex-warlords, possibly that Weevil has been captured.

If he really think the second case then he may have a rude awakening because I strongly doubt that the marines were able of stopping Weevil and that he and Ms Bakkin are most likely still roaming in the New World, possibly even coming to Wano to get Luffy.

Maybe Weevil go somewhere else because he's not a Shichibukai anymore hence why Marco is so comfortable going to Wano with Neko

Weevil is no longer a Shichibukai so he’s being chased down by the Marines and they know he’s after Marco. So it would be stupid to go to Sphinx, especially if Bakkin is really a former Rocks pirate.

I think Weevil will have to make his appearance sooner or later and Wano would not be a bad choice imo
