What plan should Whitebeard have made and done if he really wanted to save Ace from execution without sacrifying himself and at least half of his crew and allies ? What should he and his crew have done rather than directly attack Marineford and try to rescue Ace without any plan save from using bubble coating to get there ?

Instead of coming from underwater, dive bomb mf. Like, let his underlings and commanders come from underground just like what happened. But, have marco carry him way way above marineford. And drop down. Gura Gura punches from above destroying marineford and his allies get Ace from the wreckage.


Anyway, he couldn't have won vs marines regardless of any ingenious plan.

Go after BB himself. He could maybe satisfy Ace’s anger by proposing a full crew hunt on Bb and supervised the battle himself

Contact Jinbe ASAP. Jinbe actively defended Whitebeard from rookies and was on good terms with the crew. Call him up and see what he can do for you — either simply giving live updates on the WG side of things or helping you with a breakout.

Personally, I think the only real way to get Ace would’ve been to intercept him between Imprl Down & Marineford. it’s perfect because the only way you could get in at that point is through the gates. Send Marco, Jinbe and his fishman pirates to go after the transport once Jinbe tells you the admirals are all at Marineford.

I don’t think Vice Admiral Momonga is up to handle a Shichibukai and Whitebeard’s right hand man.

Whitebeard in theory could've "forced" his friends to fight alongside him. Minks, Neptune FMI and even the other fodder ally crews he no doubt has. But he was too soft for that and the Marines knew that. Even if he did, Marines had plenty of soldiers too they could add. The result would be the same.

Swallowing his pride though would greatly effect Marineford battle. He should've stayed fully in medical gear until his crew broke into the bay. Until then he was mainly strategizing anyway.
