General & Others What should Oda have done with Ace and Sabo?

PG’s Thoughts: Spicy take but honestly Sabos character seems to be a little pointless when you think about it…. He just seems like Odas way of linking Luffy and Dragon but honestly I don’t think Sabo is needed to do this. Dragon should’ve been the one at the reverie not Sabo, Dragon should’ve been the one Among the Gorosei not Sabo. Sabo has really just been taking away from Dragon tbh. I honestly think Ace and Sabo should have both been dead instead of just Ace. Hell I’d have even take Ace surviving and Sabo perishing instead of Sabo being alive.

The problem is, it didn't...that's why lots of readers are fed up woth him and don't consider him a good protagonist anymore.
- Still endangering his crew in every turn for selfish reasons
- Still not taking things seriously even when people are dying around him
- Still doesn't think, even worse than pre-ts, before acting
Ace's death did F all to Luffy's developpement, literally 0.

The only reason Ace died was so that Luffy will be unrivaled on the seas EOS imo. Because it really didn’t do shit to develop him as a person. Arguably he’s more reckless now than he was in Marineford.

Sabos genuinely great so far. I still think he’s joining the straw hats as their “oden” but I wouldn’t change what oda did to him.
