Most people say EL, but for me alabasta was the point that truly hooked me UP.

I've been reading weekly since Thriller Bark, but I'd say the series had a big jump in popularity during Enies Lobby. Then it basically exploded when Marineford, and Strong World came out. After that One Piece was always at the top of manga sales charts.

i honestly find it absurd that there are people who says that one piece gets good only at w7/EL

like baratie, arlong park, alabasta and skypiea were just some mid arcs

I think wano was good just that we had a very high expectations and oda hyped it up by saying better than marineford.
Though I'm myself disappointed from wano.

if Oda didn't say something like "lol it's far better than marineford, it will make it look like a child's play" we probably wouldn't have that much of wano haters
