The Roses was pretty good, a very slow burn but it built up to an insane finale as expected and a very shocking but hilariously dark ending lol. Apparently the original film was much darker though?
I saw The Bad Guys 2, Freakier Friday and rewatched Naked Gun 1 and 2 (rewatching 3 as well soon), trying to remember what else lol. Absolutely loved the first 2 films there too, both way better than I expected them to be and glad I took a risk on them like Wednesday Season 2 and The Roses as well, despite my previous reluctances.
Maybe I'll give Superman a try then despite how much I'm really NOT fond of what they've done with him and such in it.
I was reluctant towards the new Fantastic 4 and despite being a very casual fan of the F4 and a little hyped for it, it was an absolute drag, dull and just felt like punishment to watch. I hated it so much and the whole Susan being pregnant and literally "speedrunning her birth" in space then the overly melodramatic, cliché death fakeout scene for her etc, it was all just unbearably cringe. Galactus wasn't a giant cloud this time thankfully and he looked amazing until he shrunk himself down to walk on Earth and got defeated in such a lame way. The costumes looked great though and Johnny was a better casting than I expected him to be, Pedro didn't really work that well for Reed for me but he's a decent actor and did ok at least. The guy who played Thing was great but the ones from the OG films was the best. Along with Johnny too. Vanessa was ok as Susan and her playing one of her father's own characters was a wonderful or even a "Fantastic" touch, which I respect to be fair. Well he co-created them with Stan Lee ofc and did art for F4 and such.
I'm mixed feelings on the new Blade Runner so far, but I'm gonna go watch it out of curiousity since I need to get out more, my local cinema is really cheap and I've gotten back into going to cinemas again after a long time.
I'm desperate to watch the new FNAF movie when it comes out, I watched the 1st one and I LOVED it way more than I ever expected to, my favourite video game tie in movie apart from the Sonic ones especially no 3 and the new Super Mario Bros movie (which is far too hated and slandered and I'm glad its getting a sequel, fuck the haters) or w/e.
I saw Willy's Wonderland (pause) which is Nicolas Cage in his own version of FNAF but he's John Wick as a janitor taking down these animatronics single handedly and that was a VERY weird film, with Cage being all silent and speaking even less than The Terminator does or whatever. I don't think he actually spoke in the entire film?! I can't remember but he definitely didn't speak for at least 99% of it lmfao. Very weird film but its certainly unique and got some odd charm to it as a result. Nothing amazing, nothing special but it has its quirks.
