Check out the Man From U.N.C.L.E. that's what convinced me that he could be a great bond, He's extremely suave and charismatic in that film.
and then I came across a small clip of tv-program where he was invited with and he hinted at his desire to play bond in the future which to me felt like a great seal
As for Tom Hardy, I love him more than Henry HOWEVER, he does not give me bond vibes…. I will never forget Mad Max scenes from my head or many other ruthless scenes he did in other movies, or warrior or freaking Batman movie Lol
the dude is savage.. looks like a beast… if anything I would recommend him to take the next role of Wolverine after Jackman… I feel that suits Hardy waaay more
also rarely, very rarely you see Hardy in suits… he just feels more casual than what bond is really like…
to put it simply, it just feels as weird as when Zoro wore a bandana in Dressrosa while wearing a suit Lol… just weird fashion hhhh
Hardy is more of a jeans shirt type of guy and more ruthless roles than bond…

Tom Hardy for next Bond
He is not a bad actor but he doesn’t fit for Bond. Bond is not only fights and shoot, Bond is also British mannerism, class, smooth, subtlety, playful, etc. I don’t think Hardy can fit, he is too much « manly », violent, hard, for Bond.
Yeah Cavill can be good. Idris Elba could have been good at the time but now it’s maybe a bit too late.

I rewatched some of our classics from the 60's and 70's most of them played by the guy in my avi but the quality is shit and there wouldn't be any subtitles you can find so i'm not gonna bother name them but they were fun
