What will the marines role be in the upcoming conflict? Will they stay obedient to the WG or have their own course?
The Marines now do not seem to be as firm as they were pre TS. Fujitora questions the WG's authority, while Ryokugyu's justice seems rather unclear, with Akainu, while still following orders to some extend, seems to rebel against the Gorosei slowly. It's not the same dynamics as pre TS with Sengoku who had the original color trio under him following strict orders.
I'd like Akainu to rebel and kill some Gorosei, but I doubt his sense of justice would have Fujitora's and Ryokugyu's back. On the other hand those two might appreciate that the marine will be separated from the WG and follow orders under Akainu.
But then again, you want the WG to act as a unity to really be end game villain material with Admirals + SSG + CP0 + Gorosei and Imu.
