Shanks is one who gave the story it's own purpose ... unlike Mihawk, Shanks have a story arc and he was part of every great moment of current history of one piece ... and yet Oda never let us see even a small part of his true past ... simply cause he is holding it back for 22 years
Shanks as one of the first character that Oda created , created him base on himself , and used him to kick off the story ... have what vault?
there is hate and there is mere stupidity
Shanks next story arc already started with his meeting with Gorosei ... some thing clearly above Wano arc value for one piece
you won't save some one for 22 years with a titanic amount of value ... and kill him with no story arc ...
this is as dumb as " Rain will kill Jozu and use his DF to kill Mihawk"
I remember many people call this shit a good plot as well

it don't make sense for me if Oda let Zoro kill a beaten Kaido ... no point there ... wanking his fans is not a point btw
but if he did that fine by him ... at least I hope Oda do in in a epic way ... but he can't steal Luffy's thunder

The question isn't will Zoro kill Kaido. Its if he kills kaido what will you do? Stop being salty and answer the question.
I myself, very much doubt Zoro will be the one slaying that beast. However this isn't the point of the thread.
He will definitely be giving Kaido a new scar as a present though.

You still didnt answer me what you think is the purpose of Shanks in the story to come, not what happened already.
Is he there to be an obstacle for Luffy?
Is he there to help Luffy?

I'm not Oda ... I can write a fan fiction but not sure why that should matter ... what Shanks truly want is one most interesting unknown thing about him ... that we SHOULD KNOW IT AT SOME POINT

Well, he already gave up his arm for Luffy and I think his ultimate purpose is giving up his life for Luffy.
Blackbeard is an obvious opposition for what Shanks stands for and what he believes in and Blackbeard plays dirty.
What would Shanks' story arc be? A party with Strawhats and having a chat? Because I cant see them fighting no matter how hard I try to imagine it. Fight between Shanks and Blackbeard, if it happens, for sure will be off-screened, Oda wont show Blackbeard Pirates having a full battle 2 times in a row...
