My sleep schedule is throughly fucked so im here at 5:30 Am to pose a question

What's a one piece hot take you have that you're ready to defend a hill you're willing to die on?

For me the Hill im 100% ready to die on and im sure many people have seen me say it before but

Koby defeating BB just makes thematic sense to both the story and who he is as a character.

Another one I have is of the original 4 Yonko, Whitebeard, Kaido, Shanks and Big Mom, big mom was the most interesting and well written

Everything from her back story to her personality to her abilities where all awesome, but it feels like Oda took an amazing painting and just threw buckets of paint on it because while big mom as the most interesting back story and most fun and creative abilities what he did to her on wano was atrocious it just tells me adding her there was an after thought but even the way she got her abilities is more interesting than anyone else's

She cannibalized mother caramel the former user of the soul fruit, is that not wild as fuck?

Luffy and Zoro are equally strong with this dynamic only changing temporarily through power ups given to either.
there were points in the story where Zoro was undeniably stronger than Luffy. Most prominent examples being Alabasta and postTS until DR/WCI (or even Wano).

It could be called a hill I am willing to die on, but I am not willing to debate this with low IQ scum that presents nothing else than bad faith arguments and confirmation bias.

Just a a few example on why I think this (still not willing to engage in a discussion over it):
- Whiskey Peak fight
- Zoro learning haki earlier than Luffy (even and advanced form it if)
- Luffys benchmark character ~< Zoros benchmark character (while Luffy will also get another edge over Skanks so it evens out)
- Zoro got blackmailed into the crew and still only joined when Luffy agreed that he would not interfere with his ambition
- Romance Dawn one shot (also early concept art)
- Ryuma has godlike status for swordsmen, Nika has godlike status for slaves

Buggy is a D

The forbiden sun of the first world is nukes and Imu got nukes

Mihawk x Perona is end game

The immortal surgery being used but somehow Law lives

The age of pirates will be over and the age of adventurers will come back after the red line is destroyed...like think Nolen

- The C3 are near equals in power and should never be more than one or two places apart in a ranking.

- The gaps between most characters in a tier of strength are vanishingly small and nowhere near as big as people try to push.

- Oda should've swapped Kaido's and Orochi's fruits. He should also have made the latter a more cunning, dangerous and manipulative villain while making Kaido a tragic figure who wants to die but can't, and therefore lashes out at the world in rage at his own existence. This would also have allowed for Yamato to be a more serious character IMO.

- Haki is inherently not at all a bad idea but the execution is botched.

- There is a curse on this manga which causes events in-story to happen ridiculously fast while the story IRL happens insanely slowly.

- Logias have immense potential even without awakening.

- PH was not a logia awakening and neither is Kizaru's cloning, it'll likely be something else.

- Powercreep will not go the way people expect it to. Don't ask me though, IDK how it'll go either. I'm just not convinced by the predictions I see.

- Whitebeard is the only "World's Strongest" type character who legit felt like the strongest.

- Roger feels more like a plot device than an actual character nowadays. He could have been one of the best characters in the story if Oda continued to focus on the darker aspects of his personality and make him more unique compared to Luffy, Shanks and Ace.

- Waboon should have joined the crew instead of Jinbum.

Kuzan is the best character out of the entire WG

akainu & kuzan are closer than zoro & sanji

Law Yamato and zoro are all on the same lvl

doffy, cracker and kat are the most overwanked

Kaido and big mom lost to pure plot protection

no matter what the one piece is it won’t live up to 30 years worth of expectations

mihawk at his very worst is shanks equal

Koby is top 5 eos
