What's a one piece hot take you have that you're ready to defend a hill you're willing to die on?

For me the Hill im 100% ready to die on and im sure many people have seen me say it before but

Koby defeating BB just makes thematic sense to both the story and who he is as a character.

Another one I have is of the original 4 Yonko, Whitebeard, Kaido, Shanks and Big Mom, big mom was the most interesting and well written

Everything from her back story to her personality to her abilities where all awesome, but it feels like Oda took an amazing painting and just threw buckets of paint on it because while big mom as the most interesting back story and most fun and creative abilities what he did to her on wano was atrocious it just tells me adding her there was an after thought but even the way she got her abilities is more interesting than anyone else's

Big mom is the more fun of the yonko so far, she was the only one who felt as a big threat to me with her chase

Sanji is more interesting than zoro, but the new world first arc made me dislike him for a big while

I LOVE the coliseu fighters, such a fun adiction of chars with cool design, even the real kaido (meadows)

Cracker is more fun than katakuri

the separation of the crew in sabaody made them all become less interesting once they come back aside the first impact of the return, only sanji got a good arc after it. I do enjoy the prisoners that became friends with luffy, but marine ford was a bunch of who's whoses defucks i care aside the main ones

If it wasn't for how Oda goes way into Sanji's pervy and simp nature he'd be one of the best characters, great back story, interesting abilities, and almost awesome personality but all the heart eyes, perversion and lovey dovey nonsense just ruins his overall character

- The writing has gone to hell since the Timeskip, with lots of retcons and low quality storytelling.

- Nika was the worst thing to happen to the series.

- Oda has no concept of time. He keeps saying the story will end in 3 years when it will be at least 7 more years.

- Koby will be as strong as Luffy EoS.

Ever since Thriller Bark the writing has gotten worse. Everything wrong with the Post Timeskip arcs was there in Marineford.

-Roger died
-Shanks' inherited Roger's will but couldn't do anything because of being a Celestial Dragon and god damn Nika won't choose him
-Shanks gave up on himself
-Luffy saying the same thing as Roger re-ignited Shanks

Luffy saved Shanks, so Shanks gave up his arm for Luffy and then passed him the torch that once was passed onto him by Roger.

Kaido is on the level of Roger or Primebeard

Primebeard is slightly stronger than Roger due to having nearly equal haki or equal haki, better strength and a great fruit.

Kid is an incredibly useless character.

Blackbeard related arcs are the best and most fun arcs.

Big Mom is super underrated, her only real weakness is her cockiness.

Fujitora and Ryokugyu suck.

Garp is an awful person.

Roger mostly sucks and became the pirate king via the cheapest way possible.

I've seen people say Mihawk will lose a duel to Zoro or Shiryu without any character exploration.

So, I don't know if this is a hot take, but I have faith in Oda to deliver a good character story for Mihawk before his defeat.

Oda has done well by all the original Warlords. Some were an arc's or a small saga's main villain. Jinbe ended up joining the Straw Hats, and Kuma's backstory was revealed even as late as Egghead. Cross Guild and the Seraphim continue their relevancy. Mihawk was the first introduced Warlord and is central to Zoro's story. So far, he has been handled subtly. We don't know why Mihawk's former epithet was 'Marine Hunter' and how his distrust of others ties into it. We also don't know how he became the WSS. The mystery of Black Blades can be revealed through him. There are some compelling parentage theories about him too. I believe all will be answered.

- M3 have always and will always be relative to each other (i.e. Luffy > Zoro > Sanji). A >> B is a myth.
- ACoC is not the holy grail. It is just one powerful ability alongside many powerful abilities in the series
- Haki > All is ultimately Kaido's opinion just like DF > All is simply Teach's. It doesn't necessarily mean one is greater than the other and how far an ability can go is ultimately dependent on the user.
- Titles in OP should be taken with a grain of salt and not all titles should be taken at face value. Titles are ultimately a medium to gas up a character for the period in which they are relevant for. Kaido being WSC does not necessarily make him stronger Imu, Shanks or even Akainu for instance.
- Koby being relative to Nika EoS is a myth
- Franky has the most potential amongst the non-M3 SHs and will be Top 4 strongest in the SHs pending any new additions
- Teach will not be the ultimate villain of the series.
- Shichibukai > Yonko Commanders is a myth
- Smoker will be stronger than Coby EoS
- Yonko > Admirals and vice-versa is a myth
