I believe Zoro will kill Kaido based on the narrative build up centered around Zoro and Kaido. Zoro inherited Oden's will when he claimed Enma. He is the first person to have tamed the blade since Oden, just as Kaido claimed it would take a swordsman of Oden's caliber to do it. Zoro is fighting for a greater motive than he usually does, and he is being tested as much, if not more than even Luffy at the 11th hour of the conflict.
Kaido is an antagonist unlike before, in which he can't simply be locked up or knocked down. He laments on being unkillable, but would prefer to bow out on his terms, which means destroying Wano as it currently is. And that starts by placing Onigashima over the Capital. This is leading to the recreation of the legend Gyukimaru spoke of, where a dragon was slain over the Capital by Ryuma. This was not by accident.
All of that, and Zoro's storyline is still not completed, as he has yet to fulfill the task of blackening Enma, the mystery surrounding his connection with the Shimotsuki, and how he'll overcome this ordeal with death. These things are leading up to something, and it wouldn't surprise me if it related to slaying Kaido.
In conclusion, I want to let things play out. I personally find these weekly updates on the same talking points exhausting.
