You think that’s arrogant? Cheering for an underdog is way more fun than the same established badasses we been reading for years. It’s refreshing but I know Kid won’t come out on top. But to return the favor somehow to Shanks would be cool. And I’m a Shanks fan too btw

Shanks either falls to kid here or on the next island to blackbeard. He is not in the one piece world for long. Even if kid loses (there is a big if here) he will be back in the final war with new power ups. Shanks is in the end of the line one way or the other
Kid fans have nothing to lose, I think a lot of people know that Shanks can beat their favorite character but they want to hope for a victory from Kid because he is hated by the One Piece community a lot. It's to make some Kid fans seem arrogant.
