Questions & Mysteries When did Mihawk became WSS and blackend yoru?

#5

What we know about Mihawk's past so far:

-He was already a famous swordsman before even Great Pirate Age started (24 years ago). Meanwhile Shanks's potential outshined Buggy's but still Shanks wasn't famous yet during that time.

-Mihawk is 4 years older than Shanks.

-WB heard the duel between Mihawk vs Shanks, if Mihawk wasn't close to his prime fame at the time, it might be difficult to remember it later since Shanks wasn't an Emperor when they dueled with Mihawk.

All the evidences suggests Mihawk was closer to his prime more than Shanks was closer to his prime.

As for black blade, if there is any previous users of the black blade exist or not is unknown, how blade turns into permanent black is unknown, impossible to even guess.

Has Shanks ever fought Mihawk with Black Blade? Or only without(before) it? :sanmoji:

>Take your will brave one and use it to surpass this blade. Surpass me!
Very easy to guess it based on that alone - will=haki. :finally:

I'm telling you guys, this is what happened.

Mihawk and Shanks had duel/s.

Everyone knew there was no winner.

Mihawk trained/fought until he forged black blade, so he can finally defeat Shanks.

Shanks lost his arm, meanwhile.

People saw Mihawk has a black blade and Shanks lost an arm.

Newspaper brought the news that Mihawk is now the WSS.

This is why Mihawk is so disappointed in Shanks and calls him has been. Not only Shanks didn't manage to forge black blade like Mihawk did, he also lost an arm.

But yeah, this is my fan fiction.

Also, it would be absurd if YC1 Mihawk already has a black blade. Meanwhile, it is more likely that Shanks already had advCOC when he dueled Mihawk. Shanks has seen all kinds of haki since he was a kid. He also has Roger and Ray.

YC1 Marco dueling YC1 King would also be legendary.

Mihawk went to the Sabaody gambling hall in his mid twenties and beat Rayleigh at strip poker.
You all need to take these things more seriously for real.

I’d assume right before becoming a warlord since that’s about the time where he stopped giving a fuck

so maybe 7-6 years ago?

Sometime after his duels with Shanks.

As both were young, they were honing their swordskill having duels. Later, Shanks started to gather a strong crew, go on adventures, make allies and ultimately conquering parts of the new world, while Mihawk was continuing challenging other swordsmen or being challenged, soon to be recognized as the greatest swordsman and, probably as it was the case with Ryuma, forging a black blade over the course of his many battles.

Since Mihawk's sole purpose was crossing blades with other swordsmen, naturally the world would recognize him as the greatest swordsman, just like Whitebeard and Kaido at some point were recognized as the strongest due to their nature and way of living, while Shanks focusing on making allies and going on adventures, his swordskill wouldn't be the most prominent feat people would talk about.
