General & Others When did Oda's writing start taking a nosedive?

I’d say it became most prominent in Dressrosa because he was trying to set up the Grand fleet but I’ll forgive it because it’s okay in reread and the characters he set up are going to be important later on.
The problem came from oda slowing pacing down to a standstill in the second half of WCI only for it to basically seem like it’s not moving at all during wano where oda wasted so many chapters building pointless characters as a way to pad the manga.

fishmen island and punk hazard were pretty good dressrosa was the moment he decided to split the crew and the focusing and panelling time of side characters but those characters were pretty good and eventhough characters like law/ussop get a lot of attention loved the lore story wise of that arc zou was short and a good arc so by calcs has to be the second part of WCI there to wano wich is the worst arc at least for me

You cannot convince me this ain't Oda's bottom moment and when it actually started going down. Still had more ups than down buts its when the downs genuinely started and Pell was the main show.
These guys are the worst thing Oda ever came up with and portray as well as pinpoint the spark of the bad side of this manga. Nothing about them makes sense, they should not exist, they did nothing, they have no personality, everyone forgot they even exist, they were asspulled and I am willing to die on that hill that these guys are the biggest "WHY?" in this manga. Even worse than the Yeti Cool Bros.
Alabasta is fondly remembered up until you remember Pell but these guys here are so bad, you even forgot they existed. In One Piece which stands out that even some smaller characters have a certain charm. They don't even have that.

Didn’t waste time expanding pointless characters.
Showed the determination of the people by basically sacrificing their lives for it with a mythical drug
Then showed the overwhelming might of crocodile as he dismantled them
If this was what oda did with the scabbards wano would’ve been a much better arc
I didn't like Fishman Island save for the Fisher Tiger flashbacks, and the reveals about Akainu/Aokiji and Blackbeard.
However things truly became unbearable in the second half of Whole Cake Island arc with Big Mom's crazed rampage, the wedding cake chase, and the eternizing and overdosed with plot armor and plot induced stupidity Katakuri fight, and the very bad BMP vs Germa 66 stuff. It made me take a pause with One Piece for many months.
I came back for Wano, and at first it looked like things were getting better again, only for the mini-Udon arc and Oden flashback to begin spoiling things, but that was nothing compared to the Fire Festival and Onigashima raid which combined Dressrosa and WCI flaws in even worse.
This arc really damaged my appreciation and passion for One Piece, even today I am still pessimistic about what the future arcs will look like.
