Sanji and Zoro are carrying any tension at all at this point in time

Gear Nikajesus is just so bad
:/

Oda could have made Luffy aim for his scar and made it bleed open instead of a whole new asspull transformation and a volcano erupting like wtf bro

Oda and his delusions of grandeur for arc endings ruined it for me

Usopp as a character is stuck in limbo. His entire character and comedy act is about being a coward, and any real development or strides towards his dream means losing his core character aspect. Usopp has essentially been the same character since EL. He desperately needed more moments of his bursts of bravery when he gets pissed.

1) Jinbe- FI was great backstory and he's constantly progressing as a character as he bounces off the other SHs and learns to about their BS(like with Zoro getting lost).

2) Robin- showed lots of character progression with her more open expressions(that she got from the Revos and not the SHs for some reason).

3) Zoro- showed subtle development and had plenty of good character moments still moments.

4) Nami- showed character progression is Fishman Island alone. Remained stagnant fanservice for rest of it.

5/6/7) Franky/Brooke/Usopp- been completely stagnant postskip and is essentially the same character postskip

8) Luffy- though suddle development was nice at first(no such as cheating in pirate fights), the Nika stuff was serious character regression. Now Luffy laughs at his friends dying and gets over them quickly.

9) Sanji- suffered from character regression with the overdone pervert gag. Also called the kindest SH when it's laughably untrue.

10) Chopper- just been the mascot for the entirety of postskip with no good moments of his own.

If I look at the last decade/10 years (which is already generous tbh):
3: Chopper, Jimbo, Usopp, Franky
2: Brook, Robin, Zoro
1: Luffy, Sanji, Nami

Oda refuses to give Usopp character moments (probably because he has something planned in his mind for elbaf). Like even this arc the one from the coward trio that mustered the courage to first declare to defend robin is Nami, insane. Not to talk about the train wreck that was Wano for Usopp

Infact Wano soured me on most strawhats with how they were handled beside Sanji Robin and Nami. Oda seems to have written the arc without any idea what to do with them. Alot of the plots go nowhere to a comedical degree and most fights are filler

Usopp later doesn't even apologize to Toko personally after he tricked her with toad oil I'm having war flashbacks :willight:
Edit: Also to make it clear this is not a list how much I like this characters (I don't like luffy that much for example, even before wano), just how much oda focuses and gives a fug
Ngl There might be 4 tiers bruh

Tier 1
Luffy, Sanji, Nami
Tier 2
Zoro & Robin
Tier 3
Franky & Jimbei
Tier 4
Brook, Chopper, & Usopp

Sure its not like my words are carved in stone, but as you yourself seem to agree its a self-evident thing that oda really doesn't hide that there is a focus on a characters with a clear "visible" gap

You can apply the same principle to side characters like admirals in comparison to others for example

To answer your original poll/question, he is currently my 8th probably, like I said wano tanked his stock a lot for me and Egghead did nothing

Bottom 3 with Chopper and Robin. They were great pre TS though.
But Usopp still being a cowardly weakling after more than 1100 chapters just for cheap gags is not good at all for his character.

This is supposed to be a Yonko crew now. Giving him high bounties won't do, he needs to deserve it and he's far from it. His new fighting style with the plants is also terrible.
