Got to admit I'm not too much into side characters fights, it's mostly a waste of time and I am perfectly ok that they happen off panel.
I like the monster trio fights because usually Oda puts more effort into it.
Kidd's style is boring and ugly, I am not excited by his fight against Shanks, even though it would be nice to see Shanks fight.
Garp vs BB seems more interesting

For me shanks vs kid just because the community reaction to it if shanks get a hit. He is currently has aura of untouchable here. Katakuri on steroid.

They are used to create hype to get readers attention when the story is at a boring ... though I doubt anyone will care about lower bounties now...we know most top tier bounties with Yonko.
