I already said the reason for Spandam was Spandine. Unless you think Whoswho's dad is also a high ranking WG member...

i'll never understand why people think luffy is a battle genius.

literally every power up must be beaten into him like an circus animal:
- rayleigh was hitting him with a club to teach him CoO
- beaten so many times by animals to develop gear 4
- katakuri beat him hard enough to finally understand rayleigh's teachings
- had to beaten by kaido twice to get his "Eureka!" moments regarding ACoA & ACoC.

the way he dodges and blocks attacks lacks skill and very annoying to watch, just watch his fight vs katakuri

only gear 2 is genius

True only G2 is smart, G3/G4 are basically "wait I'm rubber I can blow air into myself to be bigger like ballon! Bigger = better/stronger!" It's actually shocking he didn't thought on it earlier.
