Dabi/Deku/Shigaraki gradually became my fav characters but deku when he won the race
Missed this. I added Deku so that you can vote for him.

Tough question. Overhaul was a slow burn for me, an accumulated liking of him and how suave he was compared to the League of Villains. Shigaraki back then was nothing but a spoiled kid on his own. I had no reason to like him and I really thought he was a lame villain. Step in Overhaul, who has this plan and demeanor of someone constantly in charge and I was very intrigued to see where he'd go.

I'd say when Overhaul resorts to fusing with his underling, I realized I liked him more than my previous favorite at the time (All Might). Just, knowing he's pushed into a corner and the germaphobe goes that far into securing his own victory speaks volumes. He just devolves more and more from the calm, collected Yakuza to this rage induced beast. It's great!

There's plenty more that made me appreciate him. The fact he wants to eliminate quirks (or profit off eliminating them? It's a little unclear) makes him stand out. This guy wants to demolish so much of the world for people and I love it.

Mirio after he clowned on 1A so hilariously and seemingly effortlessly, but we learned there was so much more than that going ofc.
His wholesome, encouraging, supportive, big brother energy and being protective of Eri and giving her a much better life. He and Deku were amazing in that arc and in regards to her as a whole too.
Also fighting Chisaki after losing his quirk and Sir Nighteye and not giving up.

Gentle for being so gentlemanly funnily enough but hilariously and unexpectedly badass and dangerous too. Really memorable character in such a short time. Relatable backstory too IIRC?

Kirishima for being such a noble, brave, selfless and reckless, truly heroic legend and gigachad. Amazing fight with Fatgum vs Rappa too.

Nagant for being such a relatable, tragic, nuanced badass with a painful bur understandable backstory, motivations and personality. Awesome quirk too.

Star and Stripe for being a truly strong, heroic badass and achieving the world's strongest woman and no 1 USA hero and giving us an amazing fight vs Shigaraki except for the ending imo. Oda could learn a lot from Hori.

Twice for being a truly tragic, Relatable, funny, iconic, unforgettable legend who accomplished so much and tried his very best to the end. A real one to the end. Truly sincere guy.

I could nominate Ms Joke, Aizawa, Mt Lady, Endeavour, Hawks, Gang Orca, Eri, Shoto, Deku, Jeanist, Toga, Present Mic, Shirakumo, Kaminari, the girls of 1A and such for various reasons too.

I am not caught with latest manga chapters ; stopped reading after Starts and stripes died so no idea if something major happened
I legit wanted to drop the series permanently after that happened lmfao. I've dropped it temporarily here and there including when Nagant was blown up too. Still not read the aftermath chapters of her too.

Also Midnight dying too.

When Aizawa sensei protected all of his students at the risk of his life, I already knew he was my favorite. Then when he defended Shinsou during the sports tournament saying that the entrance exam is not suitable for people like them, I liked him even more. And finally, everytime I saw him with Eri made me like the dude even more. The guy's a bro.

My two favourites are Kirishima and Endeavour.

Kirishimna when he talked about wanting to overcome his old self and got the crap kicked out of him by Rappa.

Endeavour when he finally accepted that the only reason he has to keep living is to forever try and fail to crush the weakness that defines his existence.
