Why tf would Oda make Kata a Yonko by the time that Luffy is already PK?

Oda clearly wants CG to rival the other Yonko crews. The RHPs likely are already more powerful than the BPs/RHPs, the EoS BBPs will obviously be stronger than the BPs/BMPs, and so will the EoS SHs. If Oda wants CG to be serious contenders for the One Piece, they not only need to start accumulating RPs, they also need to massively beef up their military might. They hardly deserve to be called a Yonko crew when all they have is Mihawk, Crocodile, Daz Bones, and a thousand or so fodders. The BMPs remnants joining them would make them a force comparable to the BPs/BMPs, and some other powerhouses like Weevil, Doffy, etc joining could make them actual rivals to the other 3 Yonko crews.

CG is getting their hand on the WCI RP for sure if Oda is even somewhat serious about Buggy being a contender for the One Piece, would you prefer that happens by Kata partnering with them or by Mihawk dicing up donut boy?

I didn't say Katakuri would become a Yonko, I said he'd fill the role of a Yonko, as in become a strong character that deters invaders.

Nothing indicates that Oda wants Cross Guild to rival EOS BBP or EOS Straw Hats, the race for the One Piece will come down to those two, not Cross Guild.

If you're so set on Katakuri and BMP remnants joining a Yonko, well it makes considerably more sense for them to join the Straw Hats in some way as their leader, Katakuri, acknowledges and respects Luffy quite a bit which is a lot more than him joining some randoms he's never met before.

Again, CG are not that serious of competitors, it'll be SH's and BBP's, hell, 90% of CG's strength aren't even interested in going for the One Piece, Mihawk and Crocodile have other plans, it's literally just Buggy who wants to do that.

So you think Oda created Cross Guild for no reason?

Kata may respect Luffy, but he's not a Luffy simp like Hancock or Barto. All of his other siblings hate Luffy, so they obviously would not be down with Kata allying with Luffy

I think there's a reason, that reason just isn't to be a serious contender for the One Piece, again, Mihawk and Crocodile have other goals and were pissed of that Buggy tried making them fight Yonko.

If Katakuri's the leader then he makes the decision, and we know that Oven and Daifuku would definitely respect Katakuri's decision...also it's not like any of them questioned Big Mom when she was in charge.

Moria Perona and maybe Weevil, Doffy overlaps too much with Crocodile and is just too evil it'd make it harder to find Cross Guild likable.
