If not for certain Nerfs, Both would have come out of TS Training with CoC Coating,
Cuz you're basically Applying your CoA Lessons on CoC,

Zoro Finished his Training & Fully Mastered CoA, but He didn't know He had CoC,
Luffy knew He has CoC, but his CoA Training was Incomplete as Rayleigh left 6 Months Early,

So when Luffy Finished his CoA Training in Wano, He was only a Thought away from Unlocking Adv. CoC,
While Zoro only needed to Discover that He has CoC,

This is why both Unlocked it the Moment They thought about it,
It's just Result of Training with Legends, a Privilege that Most People don't get, including Most CoC Users,
They were simply Delayed for Story Convenience.

True it was about Body and Mind reaching that level or some similar shit. How does dying accomplish that. But then death is what completes a person and maybe Luffy dying after reaching that level was required.

Not arguing the NIKA asspull but awakening is justified.

Zoro getting CoC and CoC coating at the same because of Enma is a bugger asspull since the dude still doesn't know how to use CoC to knock people out

I frankly don't know lol.

One had Conqueror but couldn't unlock Advanced Conqueror under the guidance of Rayleigh. (Advanced Conqueror is something which can be Learnt to my guess , Luffy said he figured out By looking at kaidou. Not some haki bloom moment like in Marineford for CoC.)

And another just unlocked Conqueror a few seconds ago and Already using Advanced Conqueror.

Either both of them are or neither of them.

I do have to say that it's funny how Zoro gained Advanced Conquerors despite not even knowing he himself had Conquerors in the 1st place, but at least there was an attempt to excuse this by Oda making it a point that prior to the King fight resolution Zoro mentally underrated himself below Luffy and his dream, which limited his Haki output and potential, and only reaching an epiphany of he too being a King did he gain such power by unleashing everything he had which included Conquerors.

Luffy just unlocked it by getting hit in the head with it a couple of times, which is utterly nonsensical.

luffy's because in zoro's case there was progression, you needed to learn the armament technique where you cut anything you want but at the same time not even cut paper if you dont want to, to learn advcoc.
Zoro learned that power earlier so advcoc was just a progression of that

And without Emma to suck it out of him, he would not have unlocked it in wano.

There was zero progression. Emma pulled his coc straight outta his ass.
