Zoro is already WSS. He surpassed Mihawk at the end of the timeskip. Thats why Mihawk didnt teach him about black blades, because that was the only thing to give mihawk an edge.
We've been getting WSS feats since the end of the timeskip. Zoro vs the yeti cool bros, zoro and orlumbus vs pica, zoro vs birdcage, zoro vs carrot, zoro vs killer. Peak swordskill

It's possible that Oda is preparing a Scenario similar to Raid.
Just like each SH won their Fights in Wano & then Kaidou was Declared Winner against Luffy
It's possible that every SH will achieve their Dreams except Luffy, with Blackbeard succeeding in his Plans instead
So Zoro will become WGS before Luffy becomes Pirate King
After that, similar to Sun God Nika Reveal, Oda is preparing an even Bigger Reveal that would change Scenario from BB as Winner to Luffy instead (I'm not talking about a Duel, it's more about their Dreams)
This is why Oda teased Two Timelines in SBS
They are currently living in Blackbeard's Story, He is The Real MC
But in Final Arc, they will fix it & change entire History
