kaido rarely ever used haki to guard himself so that besides the point personally.
Pls do not compare the scabbards piercing kaido's scales to the scar . kaido himself laughed them off and their cheap imitation of oden. Massive difference there

seen enough fights in one piece to know being on guard doesn't have to mean they attempt to block or parry an incoming attack.

its not about what league or tiers they are in
kaido's defenses even when others have strong haki is just vastly superior.
its no slight at BB, oden's feat is more impressive. oden scarred kaido like that at the peak of his power as a top tier, BB was still growing potentially as a commander in Wb's fleet.

This is 13 years ago shanks and his bounty was around Kata's. Shanks became yonko 6 years ago. We don't even know if shanks at that time had adv coc or not.
Kaido at 40 years should have everything up his sleeve. His daughter already has adv haki at age 28 and on top of that he was also member of rocks pirates.

Well random fodder sea king took off an arm. Lanks can still see from that eye so the scar isnt even a big deal. 
Meanwhile Laido still has ptsd from Lolden after 20 years.
I think the lolden feat is far more impressive. Laido still had huge mental damage after 20 years.
