Misleading wording.

Ace being Roger's son was a retcon, it's been stated by the editors that Oda came up with it right before the Summit war arc. There's also fan art where Oda comments on Ace being part of the Monkey D. family.

Portrayed during Enies Lobby as the chief of the Ohara archeologists, an ardent historian who wants to learn the secret of the Void Century, but nothing more. Is shot mid sentence and dies without smiling. Only in Egghead do we learn that he's a D.
I find this addition useless. I liked his character more when he was a nobody interested in the truth, and not the descendant of a taboo clan bound by birth to investigate said truth.
