Tbh, both design are great.
But in term of originality, Katakuri gave more great impression when I first saw him than when I first saw King.
When I first saw Katakuri, I think he is very cool.
When I first saw King, I think he is cool, but just another version of 'edgy' right hand man who we already saw before from Katakuri.
King give impression that his design is just more an edgy version of Katakuri and not original.
Though I like King overall design, the chronological order makes his design isn't that original/less surprised considering Oda already give us similar design to the exact same position (RHM) at the previous chapter.

It's funny
This only proves Zoro fans really loves Katakuri secretly
They wished to have a villain as cool and badass as katakuri
So when Oda gave them low budget Katakuri (king) they expected him to have focus and skills (CoC, awakening, adhaki,..) like Katakuri
You love the low budget copy over the original lol
