Luffy is joyboy isnt it obvious from chapter 1 of the story when shanks gave him that straw hat . We have Im having straw hat inside his cabin , whitebeard was counting on luffy and questioned if luffy can prove his worth .
Its obvious luffy was destined all along . I know many will say its like naruto i clearly disagree !! The story always had luffy and his crew marked special even corcus noted straw hats were the ones roger was waiting for . Its clear luffy was special from day one .

He was transported into the future (our present time)
And he'll appear himself.. rather than someone else representing Joyboy, aka Luffy
But of course if the original, first joyboy didn't jump through time, and it's one of our present characters. I'm beyond certain it's Luffy
