I'm a real Sanji fan, I care more about stuff like thematic ties & narrative importance for Sanji's opponent, which Crocodile does & fits well. There is indeed depth & value for him to be Sanji's next opponent.
I can also see the extend of how threatening Croc's Logia power is gonna be.
- Logia's awakening, no need to say more. It's narratively important if Sanji's fight is the one to first showcase this.
- Logia's intangibility is a good trigger for Sanji's Future Sight.
- That dehydrating power is a good way to test the limit of Exoskeleton.
- His "mystery" of changing gender is also fitting with Sanji's character.
- Croc himself have a super strong tie with Mr Prince, the one who foils his Arabasta plans.
In summary? I understand Sanji, and I also understand Crocodile's power.
My problem? Is how big Oda gonna power boost Crocodile (himself, not the DF) just to be a struggle for post-Wano Sanji. It's definitely gonna be top 3 biggest upgrade not far from Luffy's, which at the end of the day, possible but highly unrealistic & less believable.
I have nothing against Croc, I have something against how big of a power boost he will get.

I mean let’s look at marineford alone?
Croc was easily shaking off an attack from behind from Jozu. An attack seemingly stronger than the one that made Kuzan bleed.
He then was able to parry Mihawks yoru which just was shown to casually cut through Daz with no issue.
Then in one attack he fully cut Sakazuki in half, damage that couldn’t be replicated by the combined slashes of Marco and Vista
Next gave him a 1.9 billion berry bounty and had 3 seraphim’s sent after him.
Give him logia awakening and he’ll be an easy top 10

Greenbull seems big in my list .
It will be Admirals because Luffy’s final fight will be against World Govt . Oda has given enough hints Imu and Goroseis are way too powerful they have strongest weapons and have their own army .
Luffy’s crew will fight BB before Laugh tale and BB’s crew will go down before they reach final island and it makes sense Zoro fighting Shiryu and Sanji fights Burgess/Lafitte .
