I'm going to split this question into 4 rounds

Lest we understand each other enough, I decided to select only the most iconic antagonists Zoro faced in the series. That is, Cabaji, Ohm, Monet, Zombie Ryuma and Kamazou are out.

With character development you mean the antagonist or Zoro during the fight? Because non of the mentioned above had character developments. So i think it would be better to ask who gave Zoro the best development during the fight.

R2 I dont even know really if any of those 4 of Zoros Opponents had some Charachter Development during the Fight but lets go with King the Wildfire i guess i dont know (nvm its probably Kaku)

R3 goes to King the Wildfire as well.

R4 goes to probably Pica

The weakest is definitely Pica, Daz or Kaku were the best while King is the most important for Zoro's growth.

Thanks for the tag. Overall I think:

King > Mr. 1 > Pica > Kaku

Not to say Kaku was bad, I love that Enies Lobby fight.

King. Zoro was getting thrashed around. King was mfing built.

R2: Which one had the best character development?

Zoro got the best character development from King. Reaffirming his ambitions and loyalty ties to Kuina and Luffy.
Mr1 was an eye opening fight tho for both viewers and Zoro.

King easily.

Kings fruit is the best and favorite by a longshot.

Personal Question: Which one is your favorite?

King easily. First Commander, Kaido's right hand man, the guy he took to Marineford with him, the guy that parallels the headhunting of Blackbeard and Luffy.

And we get this glorious parallel of Kaido/King reminiscing each others place in their dreams. King was so fucking good.

Pica is the shittiest opponent of Zoro's that's all you need to know.

R1: Mr 1 just edges it out for me. King is a very close second. Kaku is third and Pica is last.

R2: What do you mean by character development? As in Zoro's growth or his opponent's character development?

If it's Zoro then I would say Zoro gained the most against King. His character was actually solid against King. Learning Adv CoC and his vow to his captain and best friend (Kuina) was a beautiful touch to Zoro's character. I wish Oda did more of Zoro's characterization like that.

Mr 1 is second since Zoro basically unlocked BOAT which later on became retconned Haki. Kaku is third since Zoro didn't really grow from the fight besides using Asura. Pica is last and the reason is the same as Kaku, Zoro didn't really grow beside using black armament on his swords and using ISDS.

As for who's the best written Zoro's opponent, it's King >~ Kaku > Mr 1 >~ Pica. King got a good flashback with Kaido. Kaku is overall a fun and interesting opponent. Mr 1 is alright with his assassin built and philosophy. Pica is just straight up retarded.

R3: King has the best design. The only good thing about Pica is that he got a good design. Daz is third and Kaku is last.

R4: Unpopular opinion but I think Kaku's cow or rather, giraffe fruit is the best for me. His usage of the fruit is very goofy and effective despite Kaku only has it for a short amount of time. So his fruit is my favorite. Daz's dice fruit is second. King is third and Pica is last.

Personal question: Honestly, Kaku is my favorite Zoro's opponent by far. Kaku's character is quirky and enjoyable to watch on screen. King is second, Daz is third and Pica is last yet again.

But if we includes every Zoro's opponents then it's Kaku > Zombie Ryuma > King > Monet > Kamazou in terms of favorite.

The best fight is easily Kaku, despite being the one with the less diff for Zoro except Pica.
The coreography of the fight is crazy, Kaku is fantastic and Zoro gorilla thing is still one of my favourites.

•R2: Which one had the best character development?
None of the characters had particularly interesting character, I liked Kaku again for his semplicity, Mr 1 for his respect for Zoro and King for being actually relevant to One Piece story.
I will give it to Mr 1 for it being actually the most interesting for Zoro's development, since it was the first time for Zoro to do something actually new.

•R3: Which one has the best design?
Extremely though, all characters have excellent design. I don't really like King's power since it doesn't play much in the grand scheme of things of the fight, while Kaku's and Mr 1's are extremely relevant. I will give it to Kaku.

•R4: Who has the best (not the strongest) DF? Which one is your favorite?
Best fruit, at the time for what it meant for the story, Mr 1.
The best is Kaku for the way it is used, it is literally the Legendary Gika Gika fruit for what it does.

•Personal Question: Which one is your favorite?

If you think like this than you could make this case for so many different questions he asked till this Point of Time in the Story nothing wrong with that its a cool post Idea. Mihawk wasnt included cause he neg diffed him wasnt really a Fight. It was simply a dedicated Chapter to Mihawk showing what a different Animal he is.

So the Rayleighs and even young Shanks all had a Daddy Complex? Just because they wanted to make their Captain the Pirate King? King as a Charachter was better than Dan Bones he atleast had some importance in the Story csuse of his Race which opened some Questions. Dude got even hyped by Marco and Luffy
