Speculations Who will fight/defeat Garling?

Obviously someone will have to beat Garling in the future, but who do you think it will be? I have a theory that Garling has the “Moon God” anti-Nika DF, and BB will fight and kill Garling to steal the fruit for himself

Those characters are way too irrelevant. Someone as strong and important as Garling isn’t gonna lose to one of Dragon’s Tobi Roppo equivalents or Luffy’s Lightning McGuy equivalent

yeah but he was a former warlord. anyway that's irrelevant. by eos, I believe Luffy will have taken down at least one member of each of the factions i mentioned

i don't think a holy knight is strong enough to be an arc opponent for Luffy, but I think he'll destroy one in a fight(not Garling, I think Garling fights either Shanks or Dragon).

Holy Knights are just the Tobi Roppo of the WG though. They’re not their own separate faction.

Imo he’s the least likely of the ones I listed. Sure he’s from the same family as Garling, but Oda really hasn’t foreshadowed Shanks or Garling holding any animosity towards each other

They will probably fight/clash just like yamato did with Kaido. Garling is opposite of what shanks is and I doubt oda will not have them fight and more so if he really is his father.

Garling isn't that strong or that important

Considering he is "Shanks' father" I will say he's important to the narrative. And him being the SUPREME commander of a group I will say he's very powerful. Oda only focused on him, not in the group, unlike the Gorosei, Tobi Roppo or any other faction, Oda protrayed him individual, like the leader, Oda didn't bother to show the rest of the Holy Knight... So he's clearly his own league above them.

Oda also made sure he was the MVP among Celestial Dragon in God Valley at young age, imagine now.

I have a hard time seeing how Oda fits it organically into the story though.

Is Shanks just gonna randomly decide one day to sail to Mariejois and challenge his dad to an Agni Kai?

Is Shanks just gonna become one of Luffy’s many allies in the Final War and fight Garling that way?

I agree, I also think HK are fodders but neither the Tobi Roppo or the Gorosei has a leader (meaning they all are on the same tier) Oda made sure to point Garling was the leader and he's on his own league above them.
