There’s no other good candidate rn except Shanks. Shanks could beat him and get nerfed before facing Imu or something. I predict that Shanks will die to Imu because losing to BB is too obvious at this point.

Maybe Dragon, but if there’s an evil character who’s son is a heroic character then it’s generally best to bet on the son beating the father.

Of course, as I write this I am reminded of the shitshow that was Sanji and Germa 66…

It'd be hella disappointing if all that Shanks and Garling amounted to was generic goody two shoes beating his generic evil dad

Zoro has no plot with Shanks.
Swordsman logic can be a debate but I don't see them anyhow meeting....
Maybe a small clash like
Kamazou vs Zoro.

Idk, I see It as a way of Oda to be clear about Shanks being a swordsman (I see him and his father fight the same way) and a way for Zoro to prove his superiority over thar style/family too.

I know that Mihawk>Shanks, but some will not cease to say otherwise even if Oda himself comes forward and say It. Zoro killing/defeating Garling could be a way to clear It.

Garling Being former WSS , could create some Potential fight between them.
But apart from that I don't think so.

Idk, even aside from that I don't see anyone having even a slight connection with Shanks, and so his father.

Luffy has It, but obv he Is not going against Garling.

Yeah, I suppose Oda could create something relevant for Dragon, but 1. I think Dragon will go against Imu and lose and 2. If he fights someone outside of Imu, I think he should at least fight the leader of the Gorosei.

I personally believe imu will be kaguya level shit.
Team effort would be there. Too many people holding grudge against this clown.
Post this fight SH vs BB or SH vs BB vs CG can take place.
