Imo, he'll play his emotional role to get Luffy to truly hate Blackbeard when they fight and SWORD to ally with him.

My only hope is Dragon actually has a flashback with him or reflects on their relationship, wild to me Oda has never addressed it yet.

I think the problem is timing rn like Luffy and them likely wont find out about Garp until after Elbaf, granted it could be a Sword + SH alliance.

I think for now nobody will save him. He will stay their prisoner for a little while,then he will be free after Blackbeard's defeat,so towards the end of the story. (If he is not the final villain,he is at least the penultimate one). But in "story time" it wont be too much time. Who knows,for the "story time" Luffy may become king of the pirates and defeat the World Government just in a few months.

Koby and Sword might definitely give it another try.

BB will have to fight on two different fronts then. Or even 3 if Law recovers and wants to get revenge.
