God your take on the Tobi roppo is bad.
Oda ain’t giving these guys this much screen time for them to be taken out by background characters

Also it thematically makes 0 sense for the Scabbards to take out the F6. The F6 weren’t even there 20 years ago when Lord Oden got killed

For the girls in the Beast Pirates there's really not too many opponents available.

You've got a team up of Nami, Carrot and Shinobu

You've got Robin

You've got Izo and Kiku

And it could be a team up of multiple of these characters.

Oda's not at all likely to have pretty girls beaten up by men. There's even the chance that he just doesn't have them fight at all and they get redeemed (Baby 5). The fact that they are presumably Zoans and thus will be able to transform into something a bit more "monstrous", for lack of a better word, does make it more likely he'll be willing to have them fight.

I actually think Oda's quite likely to swap around the expected opponents. Ulti and Black Maria seem very like Nami and Robin in personality (one a bit bratty, one more mature). I think Oda will swap it around a bit, make Nami fight the mature one (Black Maria), while Robin beats the younger (Ulti). Think that'll be a more interesting contrast for him.

Or one of the Scabbards that cross dress.

I feel like teamups are unnecessary. If the BMP come back into the fold, you have Smoothie, Campote, and Amande in the least. Depending on how strong Izo is, I can see Izo vs. Smoothie, just like how I can see Inu/Neko vs. Jack.

Anyway, I'm placing my money on Carrot. A lot of people speculate that Ulti has a velociraptor/agility related zoan fruit (her personality seems to fit it). Carrot would be the perfect combatant to take her on. I speculate Nami to fight a BM crew member with how broken Zeus is at this point for her. Maybe Gallette or Campote if she's weaker than we think. I can see Robin vs. Black Maria tbh.

I do not at all expect the BM Pirates back for fights. Marco told them- and us- the world will be different when next they meet- i.e. a Yonkou has been defeated, and it neatly took away a good chunk of characters that really don't have much to do with the arc to fully focus on those that do.

If they don't then a lot of characters this arc are about to not get proper fights lol. Even if the numbers were all individually important characters, it still wouldn't be enough and I personally doubt "teamups" is where we are going with these characters.

Plus, I also doubt it will take them that long again to climb the fall before the fighting ends. They didn't climb the fall before because they were waiting to hear back from BM. Once they did, they finally climbed the fall again.

Remember that BM now knows about the secret entrance from last chapter. She may just make them take that, especially if the fighting segues back to mainland Wano at some point.

That's exactly what I'm expecting. The most fights he's ever done is the twelve in a row stretch of Dressrosa (assuming we count Luffy vs Bellamy and Sabo vs Burgess. Bellamy I feel should, Burgess I'm iffy on). Even then Oda simply had some people miss out on fights and have to share with others- Robin, Ideo, Orlumbus losing out, Ussop's fight also happening well before the others and not in the final battle stretch. And he could have gave two of them fights, but instead had Buffalo unceremoniously one-shotted half way through the arc and Baby 5 operate as a tool for Sai's development and fight with Lao G.

I expect the same thing here. Kaido, the Calamities, 5/6 of the Flying Six, Kanjuro, Fukurokujo. They're the main fights, eleven in all.

Eh, let's agree to disagree then. We are at a point in the story where Oda truly can't prevent the Strawhats from growing after taking down a Yonko or their crew. He purposefully hid designs and powers at WCI (Snack, Decuplets, Smoothie, Bavarois, Citron, Cinnamon) to characters introduced right at the end of the arc yet he did nothing with them. I don't think Oda would falsely tease the Yonko alliance to only completely break it down before it starts.

I feel that he is keeping the BM children away as a means to not have to write 20+ more characters into an already complicated plot at the moment. Once the battles start and the scenery changes throughout, I expect them to show up when everyone least expects it

He did that at Marineford as well though. I don't thinking we'll ever get much focus on Fossa and his fire sword, Rakuyo and his chain chomp or Blamenco (or is it Blenheim?) and his pocket space dimension fruit either.

These characters expand the world and let us see the breadth and depth of an Emperor's crew, but I very much doubt they'll ever play a real role in the story.

Well, the alliance is all about Big Mom and Kaido working together, which is still happening. It's been the individuals that have been focused on for the most part, not the crews themselves.

Oda didn't drop sillhouettes with name boxes at Marineford, but he did this for WCI, clearly to tease future roles.

I'm sorry but I disagree lol

I thought it would be Nami, Carrot and Shinobu but I don’t know anymore (because of the recent spoilers). I’m still leaning towards them for now but I’m not totally convinced yet.
