Luffy has the iconic strawhat given to him by red haired Shanks and is the symbol of the straw hat crew

Zoro has Wado Ichimonji a sword he holds near and dear to his heart a sword that carries the will of his deceased friend Kuina

If push comes to shove who do you believe would toss aside their prized possession and surrender their dreams if it means saving someone else?

Why would either of them throw away those things though? I can’t envision a scenario where it would be necessary.

If anything, I can see Luffy giving Shanks his Straw Hat or Zoro placing his sword on Kuina’s grave after he becomes the World’s Strongest Swordsman.

Maybe Wado Ichimonji? Luffy sacrificing his Straw Hat would probably cause a bigger stir in the fandom and the narrative has always been that he would return it someday. It’s an iconic part of his character too.
