Which is his EOS goal to some extent too, he wants to kill Naruto to severe his bonds, and he wants too crush the entire Shinobi world
(though I guess he loses interest in killing random civilians)
It was lowkey Sakura Shippuden. I can’t believe how much of a bum Naruto was in that arc. His only “highlights” were beating a 30% Itachi clone that wasn’t even trying anyways, and showing off a 2x bigger Rasengan.

Worst of all, he ends up falling hard for Deidara´s bait and forces Kakashi to seperate from Chiyo and Sakura against Sasori. Early ship Naruto is genuine trash. He sucked on the bridge mission too
Yes, Zoro has hardly had any character progression since the timeskip, nor anything to deepen his character, he's basically reduced to a badass swordsman. At least before the timeskip he had some more personality.

Oda hasn't shown it much but I do think he gets tiny bits of progression. He used Ace's death and Luffy's suffering as motivation to be more serious and a better crewmate, and he tries to help Luffy toughen up and realize how much danger they're constantly in throughout the New World.
It's not a lot, but, it's still nice that he tries to become more mature and serious and also pushes that onto the rest of the crew.
