What is emo then?

Because Kakashi is just like Sasuke. It’s literally the whole point of the parallels lol
Lashing out or intense general angst? Deeply emotional all the time.

Kakashi feeling dejected at an appropriate place doesn’t really feel emo. He is aware of his grief and is gathering his composure before leaving the graves. That sounds like a response that a normal adult would have. It’s not like he indulges in self pity all the time lol, it’s also a habit that got better over time.

Spending hours a day moping in front of a grave is not what a normal adult does. That is quite angsty lmao

Except he’s not a normal adult with regular baggage, he’s a dude with PTSD. Having a ritual like visiting a grave is quite literally the most vanilla thing I can think of for somebody with that circumstance.

Not that I know many with that kind of baggage nor do I know how they spend their days. He’s highly functional anyways, you can just chalk that up as a small detail about him. On the other hand, Sasuke thinking about revenge 24/7 definitely classifies as angst.

He literally says that ninja shouldn’t have any emotions so yes, kakashi was heading towards a sociopathic path until obito woke him up

1. Sociopaths can feel emotions
2. Kakashi didn´t make the ninja policy, and even part 1 sakura talks about it
3. Kakashi is clearly feeling bad about the situation, and shows guilt when Obito presses him on it.

An accurate portrayal of a sociopath would be young Zabuza, who wouldn´t be worried about a war going on, and wouldnt want to save Rin ever

But you said “it’s like a response a normal adult would have” which it isn’t. Hell I don’t think a therapist wouldn’t even recommend having hours long rituals for PTSD

Like TAC mentioned earlier Sasuke a had target for his anger, Itachi who specifically goaded him into that. Kakashi’s became more internalized self hatred. It is seen when obito calls him out on his actions

1. This is pedantic, you know what I mean
2. The whole point of Naruto is that people should aspire to break bad policies lol. Kakashi being blind to that doesn’t really absolve him. Obito quite literally admonishes him and is the one in the right in this situation. There’s a reason why Kakashi adopted his philosophy righ after
3. Which is why I said semi sociopathic

My bad then, let me change that to an expected or tame response for an adult with PTSD. I already agreed with TAC earlier, I also think that Sasuke is “expected” to have that kind of response.

Neither Kakashi or Obito are in the point in life where they can ¨break¨ any policy. If you were to blame anyone here, it should be the adult(Minato). Kakashi is simply doing what he believes will lead to the least amount of deaths, seems ridiculous to say he´s a sociopath for reciting the ninja code, which while messed up, isn´t his creation. Would we say Sakura is a sociopath too?

Either way, Kakashi wasn´t even in the wrong, the mission ends with Obito under a boulder, they needed Minato to save them, and the two man team doesnt work out since Rin dies anyway, with Obito convinced the world needs to end because of how the mission goes

I understand the point you're trying to say but Sasuke is kinda the wrong character to use it against. Sasuke has only cried twice in the story
Yeah thats why I said the exact comparison would be unfair. Him being stuck up for so long with revenge is something that I am not fond of, but if you convert it to actual human years it aint actually that long, its just the serialization time that makes it feel too long.

Dont get what you mean
Sasuke's Konoha Revenge arc peaked at the bridge during the Danzo fight. We were supposed to see this version of Sasuke driven mad by vengeance fight Naruto and then potentially change afterwards, but next time we saw him in the war arc he was a completely different character. This isn't good writing by any stretch, there was no payoff for any of this buildup.

What happened between this and him meeting Naruto?
