One Piece started changing their tone after that scene. Less adventurous, less comedic, less SH-centric, etc. This is why the 44 (4 read as death in JP) theory exist, old One Piece died that time (volume of Merry passing).

Yeah I rank how ruined a character can end up based on their dream.

Chopper dream in particular needs a process of him making great medicine advances through the series so at the end he can discover something and do the big jump to heal everything.

But from what we see he'll most likely find a X cure to all later out of sudden , really pathetic.

I guess most of the fans have given up on the series. It doesn't have the same charm as the initial days. And this is the only forum where people can express regret without getting much hate.
Like take me, I remember at least until like 2018/2019 I was still trying to enjoy coming up with theories and stuff...but due to lack of good reward for waiting for so long and very basic story telling, Its just not enjoyable anymore to care about anything in the story and I just want to know the spoilers of the main things and let go of the series now.

Makes sense, and it’s true that it lost a bit of its charm and spirit in some ways. And that’s the formulaic more shonen trope method it’s taken even further. It is disappointing in that way but far from being a total shell of what it used to be. One Piece isn’t like say…The Simpsons level of emptiness yet after all (I don’t care about that show but you get the idea).

Oda just needs to deliver with wrapping this shit up

So likelihood:
1. Chopper - Discovers ancient kingdom medicine, and slightly alters it for his dream
2. Usopp - Still acts like a coward after his dream

May be “ruining” but wouldn’t mind personally:
1. Nami - Doesn’t actually sail all over the world just maps raftels location then steals all the maps imu has in Pangaea
2. Jinbe - Dream is “accomplished” when fishman create a country on land and slavery is abolished (still don’t think this is the end of discrimination tho but I doubt oda can show an end of discrimination)
