So there's been many debates about who is the EOS Final villain and thanks to recent chapter many BB for final villain people came out of hiding.

I'm in the Camp that believes imu is the final villain and lemme explain why

1- Personally I think it would make better and narrative sense for Koby to take down BB

2- even if the strawhats do take down BB that fight will most likely take place either before or during the raftle arc the arc in which Luffy will become king of the pirates

I dont think Oda would have BB beat the strawhats and become pirate king

Once the one piece tresure is found a war that encompasses the entire globe will begin

Now that I've said why I don't think Black beard is the final villain let me lay the case why imu is

Imu is indirectly or directly the cause for every major incident and lost the strawhats and many of their allies faced except for Zoro

1. Nami's island was taken over by Arlong who only hates humans because he experienced the worst of humanity and how they enslave Fishman and mermaids a practice legalized by imu if that wasn't a practice Arlong would have zero reason to Hate humans

2. Franky's master Tom was captured and assumingly killed by the WG

3. Nico Robin's island was absolutely decimated by a buster call

4. Two of Luffys brothers where killed by world government employees Sabo though turned out alive but the attempt was made and Ace was donuted

Four strawhats whose lives where directly influenced/ affected by the actions of the world government

The World Government has been the over arching evil of the entire series since the very beginning

The story began with Luffy taking down a corrupt marine captain

It will end with him taking down the leader of the source of corruption

Imo that's why it would make much more narrative sense for Imu to be the final villain

Koby isnt taking down Blackbeard lol. Blackbeard is absolutely a strawhat antagonist. At most, I can see Oda soooomehow getting Koby to a ridiculous level and defeating Kuzan at the worst (though I still think thats Luffy or Teach himself in whatever arc Teach loses).

That being said, as its been stated many times in other thread by others, I highly doubt Blackbeard is the final villain by virtue of how Imu is presented in this story.

Imho:

- Egghead covers one Admiral and Gorosei
- Elbaf "potentially" covers the remaining Marine force through Akainu and his remaining Admirals and VAs. That is a strong maybe, I have no idea what comes after this.
- Lodestar and/or the island prior heavily focuses on Shanks and Blackbeard, but Luffy will also be involved. Imo, there is a strong chance both lose there as they are are both massively tied to Luffy and to each other and cannot resolve their storylines without all being together.
- Laugh Tale is tied back to the Gorosei and Imu, tidying up everything before the epilogue.

This is how i would "cleanly" put it but the idea of Luffy's fleet and RAs also being at LT would lose a lot of that fated islands luster in terms of how mysterious it is and should be, so you can take everything I said above and just shift it forward provided we actually go back to Mariejoa and tidy up the WG there.

Ultimately it depends on how Oda wants to go.

Tldr:

- Saturn/Kizaru
- Akainu
- Shanks/Blackbeard
- Imu

In that order.

Imu and I really don't see how people say otherwise, like, it couldn't have been made more obvious imo.

Mysterious overarching villain who has ties to the Void Century and the original Joy Boy (who Luffy has essentially become) and actively oppresses the freedom of others where Luffy wants to be the most free person in the world and with this Nika shit, he's set up to free the world as well lmao.

Imu makes the most sense.

But Oda did give Teach/Imu a connection, so who knows

I also think there's a chance that the final villain is someone else other than Imu/BB
