Questions & Mysteries Why are people so hellbent on awakening?

Not every fruit has awakening or can be awakened

ONLY SOME FRUITS CAN BE AWAKENED
Link me a single shred of evidence for this.

There is a HEAVY difference between "in-unvierse some fruits cant awaken" and this sort of cope many people do where strong characters do not awaken their fruits and thus their fruits CANT be awakened

Straight up, we know fruits need to match the user to be awakened in the first place. Its not some sort of power level system where if Kaido eats a fruit, because he is strong he awakens it and if Kaido does not manage to do so that means the fruit straight up cant awaken. As far as we know? Its all based on how you use your fruit, how well it matches your personality, and how much of a prodigy YOU are in your fruit.

Whitebeard did not awaken his fruit not because he was a bum, or because his fruit literally cant be awakened, but because he did not want to destroy everything he sets his eyes on. And, to be blunt, because Oda did not think of awakening yet when he introduced Whitebeard.

“It's most likely that most top tiers don't have awakening because their fruits doesn't have anything else beyond : no awakened state“

No… its a lot more simple. Oda does not give certain characters awakening because of three things.

1) Plot convenience to make Luffy win/ so the story can happen. If Kaido awakened his fruit and got up from what pool of lava five seconds after Luffy beat him and went „round two“ One piece ends in Wano.

2) Laziness. Pure and simple laziness of not wanting to come up with an awakening for that fruit/character

3) The character in question, as explained, just not being able to awaken it.

But this idea that some fruits DON'T have it, is supported by nothing in the story.

Creating a power system and not using the advanced version of it is pathetic.
Like we have 4 df users in the crew but only 1 can use awakening? Even worse for admirals and yonkou who've had their dfs for several decades yet no awakening.
