As for "automatic mass destruction weapon", not much fits that bill on the civilian market afaik

What you think they fought with rocks and sticks 100 years ago? What's really changed is civil society's tolerance for violence. I mean duels used to be legal. The founders were mad lads even at their time it seems more coherent to criticize the 2nd itself or proclaim it outdated vs trying to force the interpretation of centuries old colonialists who certainly would not give a fuck about people owning AR-15's
