Questions & Mysteries Why did Mink Tribe split between Inu and Neko leaderships?

It looks like the former ruler of the Mink Tribe from the flashback was the only ruler back then.

Can Neko and Inu be his sons and that's why Inu and Neko are both ruling the Mink Tribe or simply Inu and Neko come back to Zunisha and they were offered to rule Mink Tribe together but they were arguing already at this point so they split the Mink Tribe in half between their factions?

Why do you think both Inu and Neko ruled over Mink Tribe?

There's not much suggesting any deep reason, the two were just the strongest Minks and there wasn't any difference between them.

They hated each other, and neither one of them wanted to see the other one rule the Country, as Duke would not serve under Neko, and Neko would not serve under Duke. They they both declared themselves the rulers of Zou. One to rule over the Country during the day, and one to rule the Country during the night.

The day animals go with Inuarashi and became active during the day.
