It could be because of this example of Blackbeard (black) and Shanks (red), in separate cases we have Kaidou having the color purple (his BG 923 attack) and the color blue (Roof after using the invisible blades) and later the use of black and red.

That's what the official coloring showed...
So far Kaidou might be the only one to show two different colors.
Oda only did it cause of he must chose colors toei even make gold haki 💀

didnt a one piece animator say it's a direct order from toei that whenever a character is using conquerors haki they must glow gold in the anime?
That's a better link between haki and color imo.

I've been very disappointed with admirals lately and one of the disappointments is because they don't have ADCOC, first Fujitora on Dressrosa showed 0 use, Green Bull showed 0 use, and now possibly Kizaru will also show 0 use.

And Oda just goes there and makes Green Bull shit himself all over just by Shanks unleashing his Haki miles away from him, the same being repeated in the Red movie with Kizaru being rendered with a sword in the neck by Shanks in a matter of seconds, while Fujitora guarded his weapon in fear. LOL

In the colored Manga, the attack Roger used on Oden, was also black/red.

In the vivre card however (which I guess is even more canon), it is depicted as yellow.

Whitebeard and Oden clashing was also depicted as yellow in the colored Manga.

Kaido's CoC was depicted as purple.

In a manga cover, Zoro's conqueror's coating is entirely black, while the Ryuo that is being released has a green-ish colour.

It's hard to tell unless Oda gives us a clear explanation on the color.

Henry thurlow (Toei animator) already confirmed that CoC users have the gold aura and the black/red lightning, that's all we need.

I dont think it is official. Hope we could distinguish everything and even have some chapter as Marineford done once again but with the black colored.
