Why did Oda make Katakuri garbage compared to King?

kings haki/hybrid form/Swordsmanship/Fire/conq haki/ryoru yet to come still mf match for marco wihout those shits and took 2 hits directly without damage. it would be a joke if marco can hold 2 commanders at once. imo king will gonna rape marco after he gets things serious (king,queen vs marco last chapter seems like it)

King bounty might have bigger bounty than luffys (1.5B<king)

zoro is better matchup for king - 1st cmd, cuts fire, swordsman, conq haki and this is best chance to compare his conq haki with king. who know he might be able to made a blackblade after battle with 1v1 king.

best part is zoro always suprassing luffys previos bounty when he got one. so king matchup for zoro sure (without even fighing with king he could get bounty mf made yonko dodge fear and leaved a scar at last remaning strengh also tanked 2 yonko meged attack. )

Sanjitards saying he will fight with king beacuase king orginally supposd to fight with zoro from the beging sanjitards trying to make him close to zoros level meanhwile sanji had problem with page one and took directly hit from king he couldt do a shit even with raidsuite thats how oda showed us sanji isnt match for king from the beging.

He showed how fragile he is though once he started taking damage he barely lasted especially when you consider that like 80% of the fight he was the one dealing the damage to luffy without fs. Both queen and King are definitely stronger more durable but have been victims of sharing screen time with two yonkos plus Marco. Luffy and all his crew members the samurai there are so many more major characters stuffed in this arc that Oda hasn't been able to give them as much shine. We know that zoans are incredibly tough and durable especially ancient ones, both King and Queen have bounties far exceeding Katakuri so the hints are already there they are on a higher level. Queen took on attacks from a yonko and immediately brushed it off King without any hesitation kicked Big moms ship out of the water fall without the slightest fear, while Kata was shown cowering in WCI when Big mom had her hunger pangs called him a lowly son while she tried recruiting King even after what he did showing they are of different value. The guy is also a deadly master swordsman as he showed when he sliced Marco, so for now we will just have to be patient when the time comes they will both be much more impressive than Kata

yep, Oda basically wanted to hype Katakuri up and gave him 10x King's screentime. It kind of makes sense like you said, cuz Luffy aint ready for BM and Katakuri has taken over as the main WCI villain.

If Zoro defeats King, it wouldn't even be as cool as Luffy defeating Kata, until Oda decides to add more background story and a hack ability to King (like futuresight of Kata) imo.

Kings bounty is obviously 1.33. At this point I don’t know how someone could doubt it.

There is no portrayal which puts king at 1.5

King would very possibly stomp Sanji like no tomorrow if they fought for a long amount of time, but eventually King might be a hair stronger than Katakuri if the pattern with Kaido and Mom remained which is unlikely given the FS potrayal.

I honestly feel bad for Katakuri fans because he started off with so much hype only for him to turn into a gag character in the middle of his fight with Luffy.

No offense, but King has done jack shit in this arc so far, making him almost as incompetent as Big Mom.

Queen has been the one hard carrying the calamities so far.

King so far has been like Smoothie, doing nothing.

Meanwhile, katakuri carried the whole useless Big Mom Pirates on his back alone in WCI, he did more than his yonko captain. Katakuri was the star of the show in WCI, meanwhile King right now has been as useful as a flying lizard.
