Current Events Why did Oda rush through the Flying Five so much?

Ok I get the complaints about the fights not lasting long enough. But those Udon chapters had way more plot movement than just "fights". They characterized Kiku, Raizo and Kawamatsu, who was just introduced. The whole point of Udon was to show the 3500 prisoners that Luffy is a pirate they can depend on, followed by having the backing of Momo.
Imo, yes they should have lasted longer and the F5 should have been more formidable, but let's not assume shit before the arc ends. We don't know what Odas plans are for Jinbe/Franky/Brook, who are all relatively uninjured and what he plans to do with the weak trio. Hell, we don't even know what he plans to do with Carrot or Yamato or any other secondary or tertiary character.
Let's judge shit like this when the battle is nearly over (i.e. just the Yonko left). There are still the prospects of additional opponents and threats. Even narratively, while they are down, nothing is stopping Oda from addressing stuff with them later.
But in the long run, the F6 were the least important enemies in the arc, only really ahead of the Numbers. Perospero and Fukurokuju have far more relevance to other characters. The calamities are more important. Hawkins and Apoo are bigger characters. And the Yonko obviously.

Yup, this is the answer. This is why Hawkins/Apoo are still around. Or why Perospero/Fukurokuju are still factors. Or why, most obviously, the Calamities are still relevant.
Each of those characters have been around far longer than 4 of the 6 Tobi Roppo, and for obvious reasons.

Tbh, I'm fine with the "rushed" fights if Oda plans to throw the rest of Big Mom's crew around when Onigashima lands. If there was always supposed supposed be "more" to this war by adding her crew and making shit even longer, than I'd 100% appreciate that we even got 1v1s for Jinbe/Franky/Robin, especially if he plans to just show more ridiculous shit once the island lands.

Admittedly I thought those 2 would at least push Franky and Jinbe more onscreen, but in hindsight their fights and defeats make more sense than originally thought.
I guess it came with the expectation that they are part of Yonko crews, but its become very clear that Yonko's are primary where they are for 3 reasons:
- Their own overwhelming power
- Their top subordinates (i.e. Sweet Commanders/Calamities)
- Massive armies
That's pretty much it. So far Wano has only addressed 1 of those 3 things, so it'll be exciting to see how the rest is actually addressed
I guess it came with the expectation that they are part of Yonko crews, but its become very clear that Yonko's are primary where they are for 3 reasons:
- Their own overwhelming power
- Their top subordinates (i.e. Sweet Commanders/Calamities)
- Massive armies
That's pretty much it. So far Wano has only addressed 1 of those 3 things, so it'll be exciting to see how the rest is actually addressed
Some people expected WsW and Sasaki to be closer to the calamities simply due to how eager they were to challenge them, but power level isn't really the issue here imo. It's not so much about them being more powerful, but simply putting more of a fight against their opponent.
Robin vs Black Maria felt the best because she struggled more, took more damage and even showed off a new attack so her eventual win felt perfectly satisfying and left me with the impression that she grew from it.
Who's Who on the other hand felt like he could barely hurt Jinbe at all and even had an underwhelming finale, to the point that many people here (myself included) doubted him being defeated already.
Franky's struggle against Sasaki was fine overall, but the fact that the fight was mostly inside the general Franky made it feel like Franky also didn't take much damage or had a hard time. If they had 1 more chapter where Franky had to finish off Sasaki in his regular form with a new attack or something it would've been great.
Ulti and specially P1 were ruined by Big Mom pretty much.

I never got the impression that any of the Flying Six would be able to unseat a Calamity. King, Queen, and Jack dismiss the possibility of it ever happening. I guess some people felt that since some of the Flying Six look menacing that they were true threats and close to the Calamities in strength. Jokes on them 
Tobi roppo are strong but not as important as the calamities are. If they got more than two chapters then the calamities should get more than 3 chapters each, which is way too much. I think 1-2 chapters for each one is good, any more than that would be boring. I would like the jinbei-who's who fight to have been concluded in two chapters instead of one though.
