Controversial Why did Thriller Bark Forums fail so spectacularly as an Orojackson successor but Worstgen succeeded?

Man the OP theorist community really fell off hard after Dressrosa
True. The theories were the coolest part of the forums around 2015. I remember being amazed when I read a theory from Beck in OJ. Celestial had some good ones. He even nailed the prediction that "Blackbeard is aiming for the world". The theorists definitely drew a lot of people to the forums. For example, I recently came across this post from Topi =>
Talking about Celestial, I still remember I joined the forum because I saw his post about "Pudding is actually evil" + evidences, back then it wasn't confirmed yet that Pudding was tricking Sanji. That post really made me happy lol, because irl I was anti Pudding and being ganged by some classmates that are Pudding4Nakamatards.

The forum design and structure was more compelling to new users than TB. TB always felt a bit slow, while here you had people talking bout panels or posting memes 24/7.

Powerscaling threads and spoilers chat got as active as it was on OJ really quickly (providers baiting in spoilers waiting room also helped). There was also more theorists back then, so you had a lot of people talking seriously whilst a lot were shitposting.

Also, I'd say One Piece had more die hard fans back then, so they were perhaps the main reason the forum was active from the start. If WorstGen didnt exist, most here wouldnt even discuss mangas on any other forum.

Bogard had an excelent momentum when he decided to create WG.
